Marge Vogt elected to lead National Association of Regional Councils

On June 12, Olathe Councilwoman Marge Vogt was elected to serve as president of the National Association of Regional Councils, a network of more than 250 regional councils across the country

Vogt has also served on MARC’s Board of Directors since 2006, including a two-year term as board chair in 2013-2014. She has represented MARC and the Kansas City region on the NARC board since 2014 and was elected senior vice president in 2017.

Vogt co-chaired the Total Transportation Policy Committee from 2003-2012. In 2008, she was appointed by the governor to serve on the Kansas T-LINK Committee, which developed recommendations for the 10-year, $8 billion transportation program known as T-Works. Currently, Vogt is serving her ninth term on the Olathe City Council.

In addition to her many years of public service, Vogt has spent over 30 years working as an advanced nurse practitioner and has served on the Kansas State Board of Nurse Examiners and the Committee for Advanced Nurse Practice.
