AmeriCorps St. Louis, United Way 211 and MARC have teamed up with emergency service providers and community organizations across the Kansas City region to collect personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies, baby items and other supplies to continue the fight against COVID-19. Donated items will be used to help protect health care workers and support those infected with the virus.
We encourage any individual, organization or business in the Kansas City region that can donate items to call 211, then press “2” for information on items needed, drop off locations and hours of operation. The donations hotline is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Accepted donations include various types of PPE, such as N95 masks, surgical and homemade masks, transparent face shields, safety glasses and goggles, as well as disposable gloves and surgical gowns. Other requested items include cleaning wipes, hand sanitizer, bleach and rubber gloves. Toilet paper, paper towels, baby food and diapers and some pet supplies will also be accepted.
