Age Positive (re)Vision virtual conference scheduled for September

When the 4th annual Age Positive: Ideas for an Age-Friendly Future conference, scheduled for May 8, 2020, had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers immediately got to work on Plan B.

This year’s conference, originally called “2020 Vision” has been revamped as a virtual conference, now entitled “2020 (re)Vision.”

Age Positive 2020 (re)Vision will now take place on Sept. 9–11 as a Zoom virtual meeting. As in past years, the conference will focus on innovative programming ideas for those who work with older adults, but will now focus specifically on a critical issue affecting older adults even more during the pandemic: social isolation and how to overcome it.

The conference will offer six morning sessions, and we invite professionals and volunteers working in senior centers, community centers, libraries, park districts and other venues that offer programming to older adults to join us for this instructive conference. The cost is $10, which covers all six sessions.

Age Positive is organized by the Leadership in Aging Network.
